Job Description:
· Plant Performance
a. Monitor & Improve the performance of on-site solar plants within respective clusters and ensure compliance with operational guidelines
b. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage the scheduling of cleaning, preventive and predictive maintenance activities and minimize system downtime
c. Using problem solving tools like Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action & Preventive Action process to ensure optimal performance of plants
d. Collaborate with technicians and contractors to address corrective maintenance/rectifications needs promptly
e. Analyse data from monitoring systems to generate performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) and share the same to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis
f. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimizing operational efficiency
· Commercial aspects
a. Taking ownership of plants with respect to performance (yield, revenue)
b. Responsible for on time JMR for plants within their cluster
c. Revenue & BG collection for Opex plants (< 1 MW)
· Vendor & Team Management
a. Conducting monthly vendor evaluations
b. Getting involved in vendor trainings and meetings
c. Lead a team of technicians and support staff engaged in solar cluster operations and maintenance
d. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
e. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the AM team
f. Planning of surprise visit to ensure smooth operation of plant
· ESG & Statutory Compliance
a. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all O&M activities
b. Ensuring proper HSE process like safety equipment and PPEs available with workers when service personnel visit the site
c. Ensuring safe work environment and implementing controlling measures for water consumption
d. Responsible for being prepared for internal & external audits as and when required
· Spare Management
a. Ensuring availability of spares at sites
b. Responsible for consumption and replenishment of spares through software (ERP)
c. Ensuring timely replacement of major equipment
· Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
a. Respond to system alarms, malfunctions, and performance deviations promptly
b. Diagnose critical technical issues and coordinate with the maintenance team to resolve them effectively
Maintain accurate records of issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference
