Job Objective
The role is to lead construction, monitoring and reporting of project execution and commissioning activities for multiple Distributed Scale Solar Project.
- Project Execution
• Get Drawings, BOM, Gantt chart from project manager. Discuss the project in detail before starting execution so that the project is commissioned as per approved timelines.
• Ensure necessary permissions are obtained prior to execution.
• Conduct Safety Induction at site for all contractor staff. Ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures
• Monitoring and ensuring Quality: continuous monitoring at site to ensure quality. Address Quality issues immediately
• Ensure that he does not overstay at the Site.
• Expenditure on site is within the approved budget.
- Coordination
• Monitoring project execution and reporting to PM on daily basis: o Receiving material at site, verifying with Packing list o Ensuring Material availability at sites: maintaining record of 'Budgeted quantity vs Material supplied vs Material consumed at site’ o Making a list of left-over material at site and sending them back to HO o Report to PM in case Contractor is not sending enough manpower to site
• Daily coordination with Contractor's supervisor to plan the work and get the work done.
• Maintain all dispatch related documents such as LR copies/DCs etc.
• Highlight likely delays and critical issues to PM immediately.
- Project Completion
• Oversee Testing and Commissioning of the solar plant.
• Solar plant/O&M manual submission to Client.
• Coordinate towards making necessary documentation for CEIG, Net Metering ready on time and submit the same as advised by CEIG/Nm team.
• Ensure project is handed over to Client/Asset Management team.
- Project Reporting
• Ensure regular updates for the Project are provided to the Project Manager.
o Percentage completion of various activities (sending pictures from site, etc.)
o Provide updates on the respective What’s App groups.
• Interact with the Client on daily basis and provide feedback on the activities planned and completed for the day and next day.
- Miscellaneous
• Ensuring compliance with various administrative instructions issued from time to time regarding conduct/HR policies
• Resolve technical issues on site without any escalation.
• Responsible for maintaining discipline at site. -
- Training and Team Motivation
• Training team on the requirements of different states pertaining to quality, safety, technical (I&C/Design procedures) etc.
• Proper documentation of subject covered to be maintained.
• Well versed with industry practices and standards.
- Qualifications
• Formal education which corresponds to a completed University Degree (Bachelors/Masters) or Diploma. -
Professional experience
• Relevant professional experience of at least 2-3 years, working in area of site manager (Preferably Solar). -
Technical Knowledge
• Computer literate (MS Projects, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) & good hand hold on ERP.
• Good knowledge of project cycle management. • Excellent drafting and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of languages
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Fluency in other local languages would be treated as an asset.
