Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement for solar and wind energy projects including power transformers, inverter duty transformers, solar inverters, HT & LT panels, RMUs, switchgear, and VCBs.
- Manage procurement for solar PV plants, wind farms, substations, and transmission line packages.
- Handle sourcing of solar BOS (Balance of System) and wind BOP (Balance of Plant) components.
- Finalize key equipment such as power transformers, inverter duty transformers, solar inverters, and wind-related electrical systems.
- Coordinate with engineering, execution, and commercial teams for seamless project delivery.
- Develop sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors/OEMs; maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Lead negotiations, contract finalization, and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, technical standards, and industry regulations.
- Monitor market trends and present procurement insights and risk mitigation strategies to senior management.
- Mentor and guide junior procurement team members.
Experience
7–12 years of procurement experience.
Minimum 3–5 years in solar and/or wind energy projects.
Experience in EPC or IPP environments is preferred.
